Alpaca​ ​is​ ​full​ ​of​ ​yummy​ ​warming​ ​goodness.​ ​​ ​It​ ​is​ ​a​ ​far​ ​superior​ ​fiber​ ​compared​ ​to​ ​wool​ ​and​ ​merino​ ​wool.​ ​​ ​Alpaca​ ​is​ ​30%​ ​warmer​ ​than​ ​the​ ​wool​ ​from​ ​most​ ​breeds​ ​of​ ​sheep​ ​and​ ​is​ ​lighter​ ​than​ ​wool.​ ​​ ​The​ ​durable​ ​hollow​ ​fibers​ ​allow​ ​it​ ​to​ ​wick​ ​and​ ​repel​ ​body​ ​moisture​ ​while​ ​remaining​ ​warm​ ​when​ ​wet.​ ​​ ​As​ ​an​ ​added​ ​benefit​ ​Alpaca​ ​does​ ​not​ ​contain​ ​lanolin​ ​and​ ​is​ ​naturally​ ​hypoallergenic.​ ​​ ​Nor​ ​will​ ​Alpaca​ ​knits​ ​mat​ ​or​ ​pill​ ​and​ ​it​ ​is​ ​stain​ ​and​ ​odor​ ​resistant.
